Turkey Bacon Ranch Burgers
This one's for all the ranch lovers out there! I'm not even ashamed to admit it, but I love ranch dressing. On just about everything - salads are only the beginning. It's a prerequisite for fries, or any fried food that needs a dipping sauce, and of course on any and all veggies.
And yes, yes I do occasionally like a slice of pepperoni pizza dipped in a lil' ranch.
Ok, guilty pleasure confessions - out!
So if you're a ranch lover, like me, then you're going to adore these turkey bacon ranch (TBR) burgers.
I read about ranch packets doing the seasoning work for ground beef hamburgers, so I thought, why not replicate this idea for turkey burgers? A packet of ranch dressing seasoning - if you can find Dan's over Hidden Valley, I highly recommend - a handful of panko for texture and Dijon for zip creates juicy, zesty flavor that you'll be craving all summer. And a few slices of pepper bacon, cheddar cheese and crisp lettuce and white onion round out this All-American combo.
These are going to be a crowd-pleaser at all of your sunny day barbecues!
Turkey Bacon Ranch Burgers
Ingredients
1 pound 93% lean ground turkey
1 packet ranch dressing seasoning (I use Dan's, not Hidden Valley!)
1 tablespoon dijon mustard
1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
4 whole wheat hamburger buns
8 strips thick-cut bacon, cooked
4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
Romaine lettuce
Thinly sliced white onion
Mayo
Directions
Combine turkey, ranch seasoning mix, mustard and breadcrumbs together in a medium sized bowl. Form into four equally sized burger patties and chill in the fridge until ready to grill.
Heat a grill to medium-high heat. Cook turkey burgers for about 5 minutes aside. Top with cheddar cheese once flipped. Build your turkey burger with lettuce on the bottom bun, turkey patty, white onion slices, bacon strips and a mayo slathered bun on top. Enjoy!
